The project advanced wastewater treatment by successfully testing a compact, modern portable unit at the Rumenka Wastewater Treatment Plant in Serbia. Laboratory tests demonstrated remarkable results: over 80% efficiency in removing pollutants, including micropollutants, microplastics, and pathogens, making the treated wastewater suitable for agricultural use. This is a critical benefit in water-scarce regions. Unlike traditional methods this innovative unit combines ultrafiltration, sorption, and oxidation into a single compact system, minimizing the environmental impact of treatment processes.
Its user-friendly design and affordability make this innovative technology accessible to smaller communities and regions with limited resources. This solution not only supports sustainable agriculture but also contributes to environmental protection and public health.
